In my quest for making my weekend shorter than it is I watched the movie Breaking Upwards. Of course, since apparently I am a hipster, it is sort of an indie romantic depressing dramedy. But it is very relatable and thus, heartbreaking. The music was composed by the producers and main actors Zoe Lister Jones and Daryl Wein, which makes it even more hipster and DIY. It is also, as I can read, very Jewish. But it is not alienating. I really liked it but it is not the kind of movie that makes you hopeful on life and love. Perfect for a depressin Sunday when I know I have less than 24 hours of freedom left.
