Collaboration Junkie

As you know, I really love fashion and I would so love to afford Jason Wu, Stella McCartney and Missoni... Or even their "lower priced" lines. But I don't. That's why I've become what I call a "collaboration junkie". I know it's not the same (the quality certainly isn't), but it's as close as I am today with an entry level salary.

Missoni x Target

The madness for me started with Missoni for Target. Probably the beginning of the collaboration madness. I actually did it in person because the site kept crashing, but it was better because I was able to snag two sweaters and a dress. All of them in different sizes. Who cares. But my craziest collaboration moment was the Jason Wu for Target collection (you can read about my experience here). I got stuff the day of the launch while on vacation in Boston, then online and then I went to the two Targets in Savannah to see what they had left. And then, I have to admit, I got a dress from e-Bay. It was cheaper than the price in stores, so I'm hoping the person didn't get any money. I just had to have it.

And then I moved back to Mexico so I can't go to a Target anytime I want. And suddenly, H&M opened just a few days before the MMMxHM collection launched, so that was good. And then Stella McCartney launched a collection with C&A (which is like the Dutch H&M). But then came Prabal Gurung for Target... Just a week after I was to visit Vegas. WHY?! Why couldn't they put it out on Super Bowl weekend like last year?! So I had to send my friend Allison (a fashion junkie like me) to get me stuff. I just had to have it.

MMM x H&M

These have been some of my favs...
  • Jason Wu for Target
  • Maison Martin Margiela for H&M
  • Missoni for Target
  • Prabal Gurung for Target
  • Stella McCartney for C&A
  • Marni for H&M (which I couldn't get anything from)

Now that we have H&M in Mexico, I can't wait to see what's next!
