GaranceDoré+KateSpade

It's been almost a month since my last post... And I should apologize (I've been obsessively watching the Olympics) but I'm too excited to do so. Have you seen the collaboration between Garance Doré and Kate Spade?!?!?! If you haven't, do it. NOW.

The most perfect print ever made.

You know I LOVE the French fashion blogger and I love KS's quirky aesthetic... So this, for me, was a match made in heaven. You can read a small questionnaire in the brand's blog and see/buy the whole collection here.

Meanwhile take a look at my favorite pieces from the collection (almost everything). I WANT them so bad!

The Massie purse in the Garance print... Perfect to accesorize a simple outfit.

The Laura top with a lovely Peter Pan collar.
One of my most favorites: the Garance Girl iPhone case!
The Pardon my French tee isn't actually part of the collection... But since Doré's video series is called that, I'll just say they belong together.
And finally the Rainey dress. I don't know where I would wear this but I really want it anyway.
There's been some controversy about the girls smoking in one of the prints, but if you know Garance and France you know how things are. I think everything is super cute and I will probably order something (the cheapest item, since I'm still unemployed, ugh, I HATE my money situation). So, what do you think?

What I Want Today: An iPhone with Camels on it!

OK, first of all, I need an iPhone. Of course, I can't get one now because my unemployment. But once I fix that (soon, I hope) I'll get it and this Kate Spade case.

Who wouldn't want an iPhone with camels on it? And, remember, my birthday's coming!

Kate Spade's Helping Hand

I wrote a paper about the importance of fashion for my Persuasive Writing class last fall. Of course I got an A because I had a thousand arguments saying how wonderful fashion is for (almost) everyone.

Kate Spade Bangles as shown on their blog.

One of the sections was about charity. But not in the way of let's have a party with $1000 dollar tickets and super expensive champagne. I like the helping-someone-build-a-life approach to charity. But sometimes the things sold for good causes are very much "look at me changing the world" kind of objects. Like the (RED) products. It's not that I don't support their cause, it's jsut that I like something more understated, something that you know is helping but doesn't have to advertise it.

That's exactly why in my paper, I wrote about the partnership between Kate Spade and Women for Women International. And just today I got an e-mail promoting their new products. And I like their approach to selling something that helps.

Hand in Hand Frienship Bangles in different colors.

I fell completely in love with the "Hand in Hand Friendship Bangles". I love the colors and the small dangling spade. And the best part is that you're helping women in Afghanistan rebuild their lives after the war and without men. And, you get free shipping while doing some good.

Color, color, color!

I can't get enough of Kate Spade New York's blog. It is so colorful that it makes me happy just by looking at it. It's the perfect distraction for a lunch break!

The online store is pretty too, it makes me want to get everything. And with this month's "multi color theme" I especially want the Sorbonne Square Evangeline purse and the Crystal Kaleidoscope Bib necklace.

So if you were planning on giving me a Christmas gift, now you know what I want!
